Korean Baby Doll

Yesterday we celebrated and Benjamin's birthday with Seung Hwan's family. It is was a fun celebration and Seung Hwan's family was so sweet to be so excited over our kid. Here are a couple of pics of our Korean baby doll:

It's party time...

We had a great time celebrating Benjamin's first birthday. It was a beautiful day and we had some family and friends over to play in the backyard and party! It was a wagon theme... here are some pictures. Thanks to Melissa for some of the pictures.

Also, we had Benjamin's one year appointment yesterday and he weighs 21 pounds 3 oz and is in the 25% for weight and is 30 1/2 inches long and is the 75% for height. Thanks to all who have prayed for his weight over the first year. This is the highest percentage we have been in!!!

What a difference a year makes...

Wow! I cannot believe I have a one year old. This year has been the best and hardest year of my life. Lots of change from being career driven to a stay at home mom. Many, many days of dying to self and getting up to serve my family when all I wanted was one more hour of sleep. But it has been worth it. I love being Benjamin's mom. Here is a look back over the last year...

Happy Easter!

We have had a fun and busy Easter weekend. Our friends Anna, Bradford and Bradford, Jr. have been visiting and we have loved having them. Amy Anderson hosted a Easter Egg Hunt and the kids did not really understand picking up eggs but had a great time playing on a water table, taking wagon rides, and playing in the yard and the adults had fun eating some yummy desserts. Today we went to church and to brunch with my parents. It has been a good time to remember the sacrifice Christ made for us on the cross... something that should be remembered every day. Christ is Risen, indeed!!

Little Mirror

I know I have been absent from the blogging world for a LONG time and I have a longer update post coming but I had to share this. Someone once told me that having a child is sometimes like having a mirror and that was very true for me this week. Benjamin started shaking his finger at Gunner when I would say "Gunner bad dog..."

8th Month!

We have had a fun month in December. I am really late with our 7th month photos but here are a few extras to show what is going on this month...

Seung Hwan and I think he is so cute when he cries and can't help but laugh! (He is probably teething here...haha!)

Thanks for all who were praying for his weight gain. We went to the doctor and he now weighs 15 lbs and 04oz. That is 38 ounce gain in one month!! We survived his first and second cold. Although he still does not have any teeth our daily joke is that he is teething every time he cries. We felt all your prayers. Thanks so much!

Happy Boy

Benjamin is 7 months old today! Where does the time go. I will post his 7 month pictures soon but here is a little video of our happy boy.
